![]() This book puts the spotlight on a National Trail System that few people know about. Including one segment east of Elkhart Lake which I drive past often, which I guess is what first made me want to learn more and possibly hike segments and write about it on my blog. I have driven past trail heads many times on my travels throughout Wisconsin. She touched on the history, which I found fascinating because I never realized how many miles it actually is, and never really knew much about it. ![]() The author shares not only her experience with the trail, but stories of others who either thru hiked or segment hiked the Ice Age Trail. Maybe it's because I'm a travel blogger from Wisconsin, maybe it's cause I love it when women follow their dreams and do what needs to be done to fulfill them, or maybe it's cause I enjoy a bit of hiking and parts of the Ice Age Trail are near my house, whatever the reason, I loved this book! It was a quick read cause I had a hard time putting it down.
